The story of Jacoby, Dr. Torrey's Assistant

Published in London by Marshall Brothers. Undated but circa 1910

A scarce book in any edition with no other copies currently advertised.

"This little book has been written with the purpose of glorifying God and showing how deep and wonderful is His mercy to sinful man. Mr. Jacoby, the subject of these pages, is assistant pastor to dr. R. A. Torrey at his church in Chicago. Between Dr. Torrey and Mr. Jacoby there exists a deep, strong bond of lovesuch a love as is seldom found between men. Jacoby was born on the 25th December, 1846, in the city of Philadelphia. His father, a German by birth, was a well known business man in that city, while his mother, though born in America, was of English Quaker descent."
